What is boil?
This is a bacterial infection, mainly caused by staphylococcus bacteria. This is a hair root infection. The common sites of these staphylococcal infection are neck, shoulders, face and buttocks. If the boil is small then it heals spontaneously in 7 to 8 days. For this small boill, there are many home remedies that are much more helpful.
Treatment for furuncle
1 hot compresses- Take a cloth, cotton cloth then warm this cloth on heated pan. Then apply this hot compress over the boil for ripening. This should be done for at least 15 to 20 minutes at a time and 2-3 times a day.
2. Hot turmeric powder paste- Take a teaspoon full of turmeric powder, then mix it in 1 teaspoon full of hot water. Make this paste medium then apply this hot turmeric paste over the boil area 2 to 3 times a day.
3. Neem oil- Neem Oil contains antibiotic and antiseptic properties. Applied the neem oil 3 to 4 times a day. It will cure boil within no time.
4. Green tea- Boil the green tea leaves properly for 3-4 minutes, then soak a piece of water in it. With the help of a cotton apply the green tea over the the Furuncle. It helps in ripening the boil and healing the wound.
Precautions to take in furuncle
Do not rupture the boil by yourself. Don’t try to squeeze the pus. This leads to spreading of infection to the deeper area. You can only apply the clean and hot cotton cloth over it. Wait for automatic busting. Change the cloth frequently.
If boill is large that means 3 to 4 cm in diameter, then you should consult to a physician or family doctor. They will give you five to seven days of proper antibiotic course, painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs. Dr do a proper dressing over it.
Furuncle treatment and minor procedure
If your furuncle is too large, that means more than four centimetre. Then there is a small procedure needed. The procedure named incision and Drainage. The procedure needs a surgeon who drains all the pus pockets. There is a need of proper dressing for 15 days.
